  Stagnation of JWs in Britain

  On a large scale, worldwise population goes up by about 1.1% each year.

  Last year the JW's had an increase of 1.3%

  In that sense they could be said to be outpacing growth of population worldwide.

  If you remove the rates of south america and Aftrica however, you find an increase of only about .4%.

  So extrapolate what you like there. I would suggest that south america and africa, while lovely continents, also are still largely developing, and are sort of ripe for JW preaching (catholic countries that have experienced grand hypocrisy for example).

  Can I just say.....I LOVE the "anti-cart".

  We need to do some of that here. Imagine just setting up opposite a JW cart, dressed nicely.......just sitting there. I am cracking myself up thinking about this.

  Why they are killed, mumified, and buried ext to their husbands of course.

  No but really....im sure each circumstance is different. Did they have children? Do they own a home somewhere? Rest assured, the branch is onmy taking care of these old ladies if they have exhausted all other possibilities.

  Uber Cart Witnessing at the State Fair

  last thursday i bunch of us working decided we were going to head down to the state fair and badge our way in to get a fletcher's corny dog for lunch.

  we had to go to a specific gate to park and show our credentials to get in.

  this meant driving halfway around the perimeter of the entire fairgrounds.

  Dark,

  Its still their grounds. They are there at the pleasure of the fair grounds. If they are city owned, than elected officials would be the point of contact. Even better because.....you know.....they dont even vote. No reprocussions from the constituency.

  how would you guys react if or when you were told this phrase by a jw while having a conversation?

  another phrase is “this world...” or “this system, like gum will chew you up and when it’s done with you, spit you right back out.”.

  one i’ve been personally told was from a convert that had told me “whenever i speak to young ones that want to know if the grass is greener on the other side, i tell them i was a part of it.

  There is no answer. If you leave and then crash and burn, its because you left the loving protection of the fold, Jehovah removed his spirit, etc... (of course.....if you are being shunned loosing your family and entire social structure could play a part)

  If you leave, and thrive.....well then Satan is taking care of tjose who are his own to make sure you wont come back, and you have clearly shown "love" for the world. You are truely hopeless.

  I mean.....this is 100% accurate. You cant win.

  Yikes. Well take it from someone who has done this with some success. Find out who organizes the fair locally (this is the person that runs the fairgrounds). You can usually find oit who is in charge of selling space from one of the vendors. Might have to make a call or 2. Bit send a professionally written e mail, explaining in simple terms why this was something that bothered you, could reflect negatively on the grounds, and was at best incredibly "ironic" because of the family atmosphere. No doubt at the fair, all the family happiness books are out there. Explain a couple inconsistancies. Maybe quote some magazines. It works.

  Imagine being a mother with a 5 year old that has Leukemia. Terrible already.

  Now imagine that while treatable, the treatment is a no-go for your religion.

  Now you are refusing, and using lawyers and the state regional authorities to essentially argue for your right to refuse what might very well be the only way your child will live further. You probably don't understand much of what is going on. (don't know where the father is because he isn't mentioned).

  You are going to court for the right to kill your 5 year old, while not wanting your 5 year old to die.

  She may never forgive herself.

  I am quite certain a Russian visitors visa requires a return ticket date. It seems obvious to me that the entourage either...

  A) Was not all comprised of guys who had flown in (ie: some people had no tickets.....not all)

  B) They had tickets and just needed to "move them up" because they were in a hirry. I suppose it sounds less miraculous that way.

  C) Its completely made up.

  I think its B. But A is viable if, Sandersons possie really rolls that deep?!

  They may touch on them, but honestly the "powerful" comment has me concerned. We all know how easy it will be for JWs to write off anything overly theatrical or sensational as "apostate lies".

  JWs do not have power over anything at all.......unless that thing was baptized when it was 11.

  i remember it was from the mothers perspective, and in the end she is like "its been 5 years now......" .

  So there is in now infamous "worst convention ever" video. That I have. But there are 2 more I am looking for if possible.

  1) At a fairly recent service meeting, there was a "new" shunning video. I remember it was from the mothers perspective, and in the end she is like "its been 5 years now......"

  2) The elders instructional video for disfellowshipping a pathetic poorly acting crying brother who knocked up a worldling.

  Any help is appreciated. I tried search functions first, and snooped around you tube to no avail.
